Wow! Just a small restaurant but the fish & chips were the best I have ever tasted - and I love fish & chips! Service was good too and it was scrupulously clean.
We stopped here for our evening meal and was not disappointed - excellent cod and chips with peas and spicy curry sauce. Excellent friendly and prompt service - give it a try!
Went for fish and chips, ate in the cafe but they also do take away from the shop. There was plenty of choice and the fish was superb. Would definitely visit again.
Our famous, thick cut chips are twice fried for taste & texture. We use the best potatoes of the season, from our long standing local merchants Gwyn Morris and Son. Great fish and chips also need the best oil. We are the only Fish & chip outlets in the WORLD to use our special blend high-oleic sunflower oil: good for your heart (when consumed in moderation)
Ok, so let’s get serious for a moment. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and not just when it comes to sourcing food responsibly. Whether it’s when we’re recycling our used oil (not as bad as it sounds) or using biodegradable packaging, we always work with the environment in mind.
We like to play ball with our local community – we sponsor two local football teams. We also support charities like the Fisherman’s Mission from our carrier bag sales and a 25p donation for every portion of homemade fishcakes sold to the RNLI.
So we don’t usually like to blow our own foghorn, we’re proud of what we’ve achieved and the accolades we received along the way. We were the first fish and chip shop in Wales to gain MSC accreditation, and we have a silver Investors in People Award.
