You understand that soggy chips are only good for one thing (the bin) and only chips with a crisp golden outer and a fluffy inner will win the heart of our discerning customer.
    You know that fish & chips is the nation’s favourite. You know that sustainability is more than just where we get our fish from & that great fish & chips is a dish best served hot.
    You know how to organise a kitchen as if it were your own and understand that doing so makes the world a better place.

    Are you stuck in a rut, under utilised and under valued every day working for a big chain?
    Are you frustrated with an unchangeable laminate menu?

    We’re looking for a cook to join our lovely Llandudno Junction team.
    You’ll be serving up plenty of our legendary fish and chips, but we also want you to get creative in the kitchen, conjuring up new fish specials for our loyal customers.
    Enochs is making the transition from local chippy to top-notch fish cafe and we want you to be part of our voyage.
    We like teamwork at Enochs, and we have lots of fun, both on shift, and when we’re out socially.
    It’s a cliche, but you really must be a team player if you want this job.

    Main Role

    Your chief role will to be to prepare our legendary fish and chips in a busy kitchen.
    But here’s where it gets good: every month we conjure up new seafood specials, and this is where you can help.
    This role is ideal for a cook who wants to be valued for their contribution. Someone who has great respect for others and

    Other information

    You’ll be working as part of a small, but super-friendly crew in a well-established Llandudno Junction restaurant.
    You’ll prepare fresh potatoes into chips and a variety of seafood into portions.
    You’ll cook and prepare dishes ready for service.
    Serve on the counter when necessary (it’s quite a social job).
    Support agreed current Vision Objectives.
    Be flexible according to the needs of the business.
    Constantly seek to improve the way the kitchen is run.
    Suggest, recommend and support the development of new systems.
    Maintain company standards for food quality and safety, customer service and health and safety.
    Liaise with the Production Officer to discuss and implement changes including blackboard specials and any other menu changes.
    Fully understand and continually facilitate in maintaining Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) accreditation.
    Positively participate in a cohesive crew culture while on shift, ensuring production and service work together beautifully.
    Understand the company’s commitment to sustainability and participate in fulfilling the required standards.

    Essential:

    Willing to learn
    You are self-reliant and can work independently, as well as part of a team
    Enjoy cooking and fish & chips
    Great customer service skills
    Can comfortably lift 25kg in weight
    You have basic skills in reading, writing & numeracy

    Preferred:

    Welsh speaker
    Basic knowledge of computer skills
    Previous experience with working with fish
    An understanding of health and safety & food safety
    Previous experience within a catering environment
